Summer in the Alps – FREE resort card when you book with Europe Mountains!

Summer in the Alps is just as exciting as winter – there’s outdoor activities galore, from hiking to mountain biking to lake swimming to BASE jumping for the truly adventurous/crazy. And just as the winter seasons have their lift passes, summer mountain resorts often have resort cards which give you access to cable cars, baths, spas, museums, trails, and includes buses and even mountain bike rental.

Europe Mountains currently has a promotion reaching over several of its Austrian resorts – Otztal, Saalbach, Zell Am See-Kaprun and Schladming – which gives you a free resort card, and therefore free access to everything that entails, when you book a hotel with them.

Check out the following promotions:

Otztal Resort Card
The Otztal Resort Card gets you access to all kinds of cool things: all the cable cars and buses; admission to the Water World at Area47 (www.area47.at) and to the Aqua Dome thermal baths (www.aqua-dome.at) a range of public swimming baths including mountain lake which have been set up for bathers; free mountain bike rental twice a week and admission to various museums. Click here to have  look at the range of hotels in Otztal which will get you a free resort card.

Saalbach Joker Card
A slightly exclusive one, this: the Joker Card isn’t available to buy by itself. You can get the Card, which includes a lot of bonuses, when you book one of the hotels listed on the link to the Europe Cities promotion. Among the treats that the card will get you are: Use of all the gondolas and hiking buses; unlimited access to the many sporting facilities available at Saalbach, such as indoor and outdoor tennis courts and equipment, golf courses, guided walks, swimming pools and a couple of museums and shows thrown in for good measure. Take your time to have a look at Europe Mountain’s Saalbach hotels which will get you a resort card for free with your booking.

Zell Am See-Kaprun Card
The Zell Am See card, as the resort itself puts it, will open many doors for you. Zell Am See’s card is pretty special: along with the usual cable cars and buses access, it includes access to five bathing beaches around the Zeller See; the wild animal park Ferleiten (http://www.wildpark-ferleiten.at), the National Park Centre Mittersill (http://www.nationalparkzentrum.at), the Krimml Waterfalls (http://www.wasserfaelle-krimml.at/html_engl/wasserfall_engl.html), and even a boat ride on the Zeller See. Add to that access to swimming pools, museums, Castle Reitzen and Lamprecht’s Cave, and I’d say we have a winner. To cap it all, Zell Am See has an awful lot of lovely hotels to stay at – click here to have a peruse of the Europe Mountains hotels which come with a free resort card.

Schladming Summer Card
Oh, no, wait – the Schladming resort card might just top Zell Am See. The Schladming-Dachstein summer card includes all sorts of goodies. Free activities include horseriding, guided gorge hikes, paragliding, swimming in lakes, climbing in centres, doughnut-making (seriously), Nordic walking and kayaking. Places you can have free access to include a whole host of indoor water complexes, a bee-keeping centre, Trautenfels Castle (http://www.museum-joanneum.at/en/trautenfels), Planai Adventure Park (http://www.planai.at/winter/en/ski_area/Adventure_Park.html), Solktaler Adventure and Nature Park, Ramsau Beach Recreation Park – the list is so long I can’t seem to get to the bottom of it. And that’s without all the usual free cable car and bus access, and I’m not even close to finishing.  In fact, I’m already over my word limit, so I’ll just finish up by saying you can click here to get a look at the hotels with which a booking will get you access to a whole lot of fun.
